FADEC System

FADEC - Control

FADEC - Spark Control

Spark timing is controlled throughout the engines operating spectrum.

Spark energy control provides constant energy in all engine operating conditions.

The ignition system consists of a spark coil for each cylinder which also provides spark to a second cylinder for redundancy.

FADEC - Fuel Delivery Control

Pulsed, direct port fuel injector in each cylinder which were custom designed by Aerosance Inc. for air-cooled engines.

Direct replacement for constant flow fuel injectors.

Precisely controls mixture over a wide range of engine operating conditions and fuel pressures.

FADEC - Improved Fuel Economy

Greatly improves fuel economy

Controls the engine to the leanest mixture for the flight condition whenever it can.

Only uses additional fuel when it is necessary to control the cylinder head or exhaust gas temperatures.

Targets are for Best Power (rich of peak) in climb and high power cruise and best economy (lean of peak) in cruise.

Will limit descent cooling by operating at peak EGT.

Monitors fuel pressure and adjusts injection time so the mixture is always correct.
