And it all happens at our TCM Customer Support Center, located across Mobile Bay in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama. Our factory FBO is staffed with licensed A&P and IA TCM factory technicians specializing in Platinum Series engine installations, factory customer support, powerplant and airframe maintenance and repair services. Engine Customizing If custom blueprinting is what you've come to expect, TCM's Platinum Series engine is in a class of its own. In fact, many of the more acclaimed customizing features, such as cylinder flow porting and component balancing, are actually performed to much higher standards by the factory. For example, we blend every port before assembling the cylinder head and barrel. Overhaul and engine specialty shops, which operate on completely assembled cylinder heads and barrels, can only blend those portions of the flow ports which are accessible. In addition, our component balancing is performed by utilizing the latest electronic balancing equipment to standards which typical field equipment may not be capable of measuring. In fact, each TCM crankshaft is balanced using advanced electronic balancing technology generally reserved for turbine engines. Simply put, factory cylinder flow porting and component balancing are much more highly specialized processes in the Platinum Series engine. Furthermore, our Platinum Series engine utilizes unique components available only from the factory, including a splined camshaft drive and a revised valve train.
