TCMLINK FBO Services Membership Obligations
- Membership in TCMLINK FBO Services is reserved for Fixed Based Operators, located on an airport.
NOTE: FBOs owned and/or operated by TCM distributors are not eligible for membership.
- Only FBO's that accept TCM's high standards of excellence and consent to certain terms and conditions will qualify for, and be allowed to retain, membership.
- To enroll, a potential member should have a reputation for reliable, high quality service, personal integrity and commit to the following factors. TCMLINK FBO Services members agree to:
- Comply with the provisions of the FBO Services Membership Agreement.
- Aggressively promote the use of TCMLINK at their facility.
- TCM reserving the right to evaluate and audit the FBO facility to ensure the obligations are met and maintained.
- TCM reserving the right to discontinue TCMLINK FBO Services membership or program at any time and for any reason.
- Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner and provide responsive service and support to all customers. The member will report immediately to TCM any issue related to any product or service provided by TCM that may constitute an unsafe condition or have a negative impact on TCM's reputation. The member further agrees to report any possible controversy or dispute that may develop between TCM, the FBO and/or a customer that has the potential to jeopardize the relationship of the parties involved.
- Display the following exhibits in areas of their facility that are clearly visible to their customers to promote TCM products and services:
- Marketing brochures of Continental products and services, when provided by TCM.
- A wall plaque recognizing the facility as a member of TCMLINK FBO Services.
- A banner, streamer or pennant recognizing the facility as a member of the TCMLINK FBO Services Network.
- Ensure that members of their staff possess sufficient knowledge of computer functions to effectively utilize the TCMLINK FBO Services systems.
- Obtain maximum use of the information, services, and technology available through TCMLINK.
- Cooperate with TCM representatives in scheduling, hosting and presenting informational and educational forums at their facility. Such forums will be for the mutual benefit of the FBO, TCM and the owners and operators of TCM products and services.
- Ensure that the FBO sales and maintenance staff publicize the sale and use of TCM products and services by:
- Informing customers of the advantages and benefits of using genuine TCM factory replacement parts and engines.
- Actively promoting membership in Aviator Services for aircraft owners as one of the discriminating factors for the purchase of TCM products and services.
- Informing customers of TCM sales promotions.
- Send:
at least one service technician to the factory training course within one year of the original membership date, TCM training schedule permitting.
- service technicians to specialized factory training courses as deemed appropriate by TCM.
- service technicians to refresher training at the factory at least every three years or as deemed appropriate by TCM.
- Maintain an adequate number of qualified service technicians to ensure maintenance and service of the highest quality.
- Ensure that all employees comply with the requirements of FAA 14 CFR (FAR), Part 43, paragraphs §43.13 and §43.15 when performing maintenance, alterations, preventive maintenance or periodic inspections on an aircraft, engine, propeller or related appliances.
- Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, in good repair and presents an overall favorable appearance.
- Have ready access to all manuals and publications required by the FAR for the specific types and specifications of airframes and engines for which maintenance and service are being performed.
- To provide quality service to TCM customers, TCM recommends that the FBO Services member maintain, as a minimum, the following tools:
- Basic mechanic hand tools for each service technician
- Calibrated torque wrenches: 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" drives
- Engine hoist - floor crane or equivalent
- Complete set of cylinder base nut wrenches for all TCM engines
- Borescope
- Cylinder compression tester - differential (TCM preference - Eastern Technologies differential compression tester Model E2M)
- Eastern Technologies differential compression tester Model E2M (this model contains a built-in master orifice) or Master orifice tool for compression check (P/N 646953)
- Precision calibrated measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Piston ring compressor set
- Push rod housing spring compressing tool 68-3
- Rosan brand stud lock equipment (removal/installation kit)
- CHT testing equipment
- EGT testing equipment
- 18mm spark plug tap
- Compressed air capability
- Volt-Ohm meter
- Dye penetrant inspection kit
- Magnifying glass 10x
- Fuel pressure gage, 0 - 30 or 50 psi or ATM-20-Portatest unit
- Fuel pressure gage, 0 - 60 psi or ATM-20-Portatest unit
- Oil pressure gage, 0 - 200 psi
- Oil filter wrench
